This would be our final photo of the narrow flower bed to the south of the City Hall building beside Leigh Square. These were taken on Nov 13 and, although there are only a few flowers here and there, the planting is at least holding some greenery. Considering that our first photo in this series appeared back in March (and the bed was likely looking good before that date), the length of time (8 months or more) that the bed has been contributing interest is impressive indeed. The only addition that might be recommenced are some plantings of Cyclamen coum to brighten up dreary winter days; but perhaps there isn’t a square inch available for them. These would look good planted in the wooded area of the Port Coquitlam cemetery too.

It’s worth looking more closely at this bed to pilfer some ideas for our own gardens.
